Reduction by Glucagon of Glycogen Deposition Effect of Insulin in Rat Diaphragm.

Abstract
Rat hemidiaphragms were incubated in Warburg flasks in the presence of glucose, C14 glucose, and insulin or insulin plus glucagon. Addition of glucagon invariably resulted in a smaller glycogen deposit. Values for the specific activity of the recovered glycogen showed good agreement with values for total glycogen and for glucose utilization.
