Topical Corticosteroid Testing in Glaucoma Siblings

Abstract
The applanation intraocular pressure after topical application of betamethasone 0.1% (4 times daily for 6 weeks) in a population of siblings of patients with primary open-angle glaucoma is compatible with a trimodal distribution. The populations so defined agreed well with previous findings in volunteers, glaucoma suspects, and offspring of glaucomatous patients both as to gene prevalence and statistical characteristics of each genetic state.
