Abstract
The nuclear quadrupole interaction of the 247-keV level of in pure Cd metal has been measured by the time-differential perturbed angular correlation method. The interaction frequency MHz at 298°K. A measurement at 77°K shows an increase of by 10% instead of a decrease expected from the contraction of the unit lattice of Cd metal.
