Abstract
The release of plasma kinins has been investigated in cases of human trypanosomiasis. Kinin concentrations in the blood are increased and there appears to be a correlation with the number of infective trypanosomes present in the blood. The possibility that these pharmacologically active substances are released as the result of an immunological reaction is discussed. Keywords
