Abstract
In this paper the static-source model of the pion-nucleon interaction is applied to the problem of the bremsstrahlung emitted in pion-nucleon scattering. It is shown that the matrix element for radiative meson scattering can be expressed in terms of other experimentally determined quantities, such as the matrix element for elastic scattering, provided the general static-source model is valid. Therefore, comparison of experimental results with those predicted by the present investigation will indicate the extent to which this simple model is valid, and suggest the refinements which are needed. Keywords
