Abstract
It is shown that exciton—phonon coupling in solid free radicals leads to a spin-independent repulsion between paramagnetic excitons. This repulsion may make a significant contribution to the activation energy for spin-exchange line broadening that is observed in the paramagnetic resonance of a number of solid free radicals. Keywords
