Abstract
The heat capacity of hexagonal NiS has been measured from 35 to 330°K. Changes in enthalpy and entropy across the metal-nonmetal transition were found to be 1383 J/mole and 5.03 J/mole deg, respectively. Measurements near the critical temperature have been made in extreme detail. Keywords
