IMMUNOSUPPRESSION IN CANINE RENAL ALLOGRAFTS USING NIRIDAZOLE

Abstract
The immunosuppressive activity of niridazole in unmatched kidney allografts in nephrectomized dogs was studied. The drug alone was not effective, but it improved survival when used with azathioprine and prednisolone or azathioprine alone. Niridazole was toxic in dogs in the doses used (25 or 50 mg/kg per day).
