Mechanisms Controlling Morphogenesis in Developing Teeth

Abstract
The basic controls for morphogenesis of developing teeth arise from the classical deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)-ribonucleic acid (RNA)-Specific Protein system. A single control system directs formation of the dental arch and initiation of all teeth. Individual control systems direct formation of the crown, roots, and alveolar bone, and determine eruption of the teeth.
