Abstract
An algebraic formulation for the resonant frequency of a rectangular microstrip antenna has been derived which is valid for electrically thick substrates. Predicted values of resonance are compared with previous theories, as well as actual experimental measurements, for radiators approaching one-quarter wavelength in thickness.Keywords
