Abstract
Protein electrophoresis and enzyme electrophoresis of lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) in agar gel was carried out on prostatic tissue, both benign hyperplasia and carcinoma. In all, 13 bands of proteins were demonstrated in extracts and 12 bands in the tissues. An increase in the relative quantities of the slowest bands was found in carcinoma compared to hyperplasia. Fractiona-tion of LDH revealed 5 isozymes in both types of specimens. Keywords
