Abstract
We have Coulomb-excited the first-excited () states of most even-even nuclei of Pd and Cd using enriched targets. Three of these states were previously unknown (, , and ). We also observed excited states in , , and , the latter yielding a new level at 290 kev. Transition probabilities (lifetimes) for these transitions have been determined and show definite systematic trends.
