A METHOD OF STERILIZATION FOR THE EAST-RADCLIFFE VENTILATOR

Abstract
A method is described in which Resiguard (a mixture of germicides and a detergent) is cycled through the circuit of an East-Radcliffe ventilator. Bacteriological studies show that this method adequately sterilizes ventilators infected by patients and by deliberate contamination with organisms. The results also suggest that Resiguard produces a prolonged surface antibacterial activity in the ventilator.
