Abstract
In 42 cases of coronary thrombosis with myocardial infarction following trauma or unusual effort the causal relationship of these factors was studied. Causal relationship was established on the basis of the following criteria: onset of cardiac symptoms immediately or shortly after injury or effort, and clinical and ecg. diagnosis of coronary thrombosis and myocardial infarction. Causal relationship was definite in 30%, possible in 14%, doubtful in 12% and judged nonexistent in 42%. The different views on this subject as well as the pathogenesis of coronary thrombosis are reviewed from the literature. Keywords
