Abstract
In this paper a simple model is proposed in which the observed and resonant states are considered as mixtures of "pure" states and corresponding to hypercharge and baryonic mesons. The implications of this model for the isoscalar nucleon form factor; the decays of the , , and mesons; the role of the and mesons in nuclear forces; the mass distribution of Dalitz pairs in the decay ; and the photoproduction of mesons are briefly considered.
