Abstract
Cross sections for x-ray production in carbon are presented for collisions involving incident , , , , , , and in the energy range 20 keV-1.5 MeV. Thick-target x-ray yield data are also included. The cross-section measurements are in excellent agreement with a simple theoretical model based on the Landau-Zener theory of level crossing.
