Abstract
Following the subcutaneous injection of 125I-labelled Con A almost all of the radioactivity remained at the injection site for a period of several days. There were several changes in the draining lymph including the appearance of two soluble factors which appear to correspond to MIF and mitogenic factor. The kinetics of the two factors were different and they had characteristics which distinguished them from one another and from Con A itself. The lymph flow rate was enhanced for a period of several days during these responses and a large increase in cell traffic was evident in the efferent lymph.
