Abstract
Comparison of the metabolism of palmitic acid-1-C14 after intravenous administration to dogs in the form of chylomicron triglyceride fatty acids (TGFA) and as the albumin-bound unesterified fatty acids (UFA) indicated that retransport as UFA is not obligatory in the utilization of exogenous fatty acids removed from the blood as TGFA. Carbohydrate feeding decreased both the oxidation and amount of TGFA returned to the blood as UFA.This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
