Abstract
The glow (penetration figure) produced in a number of phosphors by a narrow bundle of cathode rays is studied, and hence values are obtained for the ranges of electrons of energies between 10 and 80 keV, and the energy losses. The ranges are proportional to the integrated path lengths as given by Bethe's formula; the energy losses are in satisfactory agreement with the theoretical values recently tabulated by Spencer. Keywords
