Abstract
The structure of a dimeric Keggin-typed polyoxotungstate, [Ge2Ti6W18O77]14−, was investigated by X-ray diffractometry and 183W NMR spectroscopy. K9H5[Ge2Ti6W18O77]·16H2O crystallizes in triclinic a = 17.582(4), b = 22.139(5), c = 12.960(2) Å, α = 101.26(2), β = 94.07(2), γ = 109.20(2)°, V = 4622(4) Å3. The D3d [Ge2Ti6W18O77]14− anion, which gives two 183W NMR resonances at −107.45 and −127.76 ppm, consists of two C3v α-A-[GeTi3W9O40]10− moieties fused together at the terminal O atoms of the 6 Ti atoms.Keywords
