Abstract
An electron microscopic study of thin sections of the tuberculate spores of Histoplasma capsulatum is presented in which details of structure of the cytoplasm, cell border, and protruding tubercles as well as structural changes associated with growth and maturation of the spore are revealed. On the basis of the observations made on the fine structure, the mode of formation of the tubercles is considered.Keywords
