Abstract
A new set of formulae for the estimation of Rhesus chromosome frequencies when typing is done with anti-C, anti-D and anti-E only are presented, removing the assumption of the absence of the chromosome CDE from Mourant''s formulae. Details of Boyd''s shortened maximum likelihood method (with some changes in the definitions of the ratios) have been given when typing is done with 3, 4 and 5 sera. Comparisons of the different estimation formulae have been done using actual data. Formulae are presented which take into consideration the chromosome CdE.Keywords
