Abstract
Male rhesus monkeys in the free ranging colony on Cayo Santiago, Puerto Rico, show an annual spermatogenic cycle. Spermatogenesis is maximal during the fall breeding season. During the spring there is extensive regression of the seminiferous tubules and spermatogenesis ceases. Redevelopment of the testis begins in mid-summer prior to the breeding season. A pronounced cycle is not apparent in the epididymis. Young males reach sexual maturity when 3 1/2 years old. Keywords
