Über den Einbau von Nα-Methyltryptophan und Νω-Methyltryptamin in Mutterkornalkaloide vom Clavin-Typ

Abstract

Experiments on the incorporation of tryptamine-[H3] and N[omega]-methyltryptamine-[H3] by Claviceps purpurea make it probable that these compounds are not intermediate products in the biosynthesis of ergot alkaloids. Neither substrate was incorporated in the alkaloids. The rate of incorporation for DL-tryptophane was 3-7 times greater than that for DL N[alpha]-methyltryptophane. The absorption of the methylated precursor by the fungus mycelium was studied.
