Abstract
The use of the technique of percutaneous needle biopsy in obtaining skeletal muscle samples in normal horses is described. The biochemical, ultrastructural and histochemical investigations that were carried out on this biopsy specimen are outlined. Analyses performed were used to obtain information on racing potential and state of fitness. This publication has 22 references indexed in Scilit:
