Copper diffusion in single-crystalαZr

Abstract
Tracer diffusion of Cu64 in αZr single crystals has been measured in the temperature range (615-860)°C. The temperature dependences of the Cu64 diffusion coefficients in directions parallel to and perpendicular to the c axis are given by D=0.40e1.54eVkT and D=0.25e1.60eVkT cm2/sec, respectively. The results are discussed in terms of an interstitial diffusion mechanism.
