A note on the seasonal variation of the flux of angular momentum by the transient and standing eddies in the northern hemisphere

Abstract
The poleward transport of relative angular momentum by the transient and standing eddies over a five year period is described. The mean annual transport and its seasonal variation is complementary to other measurements made from different periods of time. The flux due to the standing eddies is anomalously low in the spring months attributed to a low amplitude and an occasional negative tilt to the troughs in these data.
