Abstract
A standardized procedure for the detn. of voluntary ventilation capacity (max. breathing capacity) in man is described. The procedure yielded normal values of 167 [plus or minus]21 l./min. for 283 healthy young men and 116 [plus or minus] 21 l./min. for 40 healthy young women. No useful degree of correlation between ventilation capacity and age, height, wt., or surface area could be established in the young adult population studied. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
