Abstract
N-allylnormorphine is antagonistic to morphine and allied derivatives, acting on the same centers and rendering them less sensitive to the opiates by chemical antagonism and displacement from the cell. It inhibits the respiratory and circulatory depression caused by the opiate, but does not counteract its sedative effect. Keywords
