Disintegration ofHe3andN14by Thermal Neutrons

Abstract

Cross sections for the $n-p$ reactions induced in ${\mathrm{He}}^3$ and ${\mathrm{N}}^{14}$ by thermal neutrons have been determined by detecting the disintegrations in a proportional counter. The values obtained are 5040±200 and 1.76±0.05 barns.
