Abstract

Unsaturated nitriles of general formula CH₂ CH[CH₂]_nCN, where I ⩽n⩽ 4, undergo metathesis in the presence of the catalyst system tungsten hexachloride-tetramethyltin with maximum reactivity for n= 2
