Abstract
A new, facultatively anaerobic species of Pseudomonas isolated from sewage is described and an analysis of its fermentation products reported. The fermentation is shown to be very similar to that of Escherichia coli. except that formic acid appears instead of gaseous products. Morphologically the organism differs from E. coli only in that it has polar flagella.Keywords
