Abstract
The Reductive Perturbation Method established in a previous paper is applied to the analysis of hydromagnetic wave of small but finite amplitude propagating in a cold plasma. It is shown that the basic system of equations belongs to the exceptional case defined in that paper and in the lowest order of perturbation it can be reduced to the Kortweg-de Vries equation for all angles of propagation. Keywords
