The infraspecific cytological variation is surveyed with examples from the flowering plants. The variation is divided into three groups: 1. Polyploidy, 2. Aneuploidy, 3. B–chromosomes. It is finally emphazised that intimate collaboration between modern cytogenetics, pharmacognosy, and organic chemistry is highly important. Der Autor gibt einen Überblick über die bei Blütenpflanzen beobachtete infraspezifische zytologische Variation. Es werden 3 Variationstypen unterschieden: Der Autor unterstreicht die Bedeutung der Zusammenarbeit zwischen der modernen Zytogenetik, der Pharmakognosie und der Phytochemie.
