Multidisciplinary case study as an approach to the evaluation of palliative care services: two example

Abstract
In this paper it is argued that there is a need to adopt a Abroad approach to the evaluation of palliative care services which: takes account of the differing interest groups; reflects the complexities of palliative care provision; and uses varied methods suited to the particular research question. The central tenets of the formative, qualitative model of evaluation are presented and the strengths of such an approach are illustrated by reference to the evaluation of two palliative care services.
