A fast and simple method for the preparation of histologic cryostat sections for ultrastructural investigation.

Abstract

Parlodion (nitrocellulose) film was used as a substrate for the collection of histologic cryosections by temperature gradient transport. Comparative ultrastructural studies showed that this film minimized damage caused by thawing and acted as a support for histochemical procedures before fixation.
