Abstract
When compared with similar events in the normal ovary, results of incubation of pregesterone-7-H3 and 17[alpha]-OH-progesterone-4-C14 with homogenates of typical polycystic ovaries demonstrate increased conversion of these precursors to the androgens testosterone and androst-4-ene-3,17-dione. This study provides further in vitro confirmation of increased ovarian androgen production in the Stein-Leventhal syndrome. Keywords
