A Review of Literature on Calcium and Magnesium in Insects

Abstract

Calcium and magnesium play important roles in the diet, physiological function, and intermediary metabolism of insects. An increasing interest has been shown in this subject and a large amount of literature has accumulated. It is the purpose of this paper to present a review of this literature.
