Excited-Droplet Model forpp→pN12*at High Energies

Abstract

A surface-excitation droplet model for ${N_{\frac{1}{2}}}^{*}$ production in $\mathrm{pp}$ collisions at high energy and small momentum transfer is proposed which explains the ${\Delta }^2$ dependence of the first two observed $I=\frac{1}{2}$ isobars.
