A Direct Demonstration of the Phosphorus Cycle in a Small Lake

Abstract

Radioactive P was released on the surface of a stratified lake in which virtually no mixing takes place. Counts of radioactivity of water at different levels a week later indicate a tendency for the P to descend to deeper levels.
