Abstract
The relevant features in 5 cases of typhoid fever, 3 of severe Salmonella infections, a case of colon bacillus bacteremia and a typhoid carrier that were treated with aureomycin are presented. The clinical and bacteriologic findings in some of these cases suggested that the aureomycin had some beneficial effects, but the results, in general, were not striking. Concealed foci of suppuration may have been responsible for some of the failures. Keywords
