Abstract
A transient analysis of coaxial cables is made by considering the skin effect of the center conductor as the distorting element. Generalized curves are presented by which the response of any length of coaxial cable can be predicted if one point on the attenuation vs frequency curve is known. An experimental check on the analysis is made by comparing measurements and prediction of the responses of several different coaxial cables. Keywords
