Abstract
The increased use of psychopharmacological agents in children and adolescents, the increased public debate about the possible adverse effects of these agents, and the growth of managed care have led to a burgeoning of interest in the pharmacoepidemiology of child psychiatric medications. This special issue of the Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology reviews pharmacoepidemiology in child psychiatry. This introduction gives an overview of the articles that follow.
