Case 11

Abstract
A 62-year-old patient presented with a history of hoarseness for several years, pain on pressure to the right side of the larynx of 6 months' duration, and, more recently, dysphagia radiating to the right ear. In 1975 a red, focally ulcerated tumor involving the dorsum of the false cord and extending from the right aryepiglottic fold to the processus vocalis of the right arytenoid cartilage was excised through a right pharyngotomy. There were no postoperative complications and the patient has been in good health since.
