Abstract
One hundred and twenty-two cultures of E. coli isolated from chronic respiratory disease and salpingitis were examined serologically. The etiological significance of repeated isolation of the same serotypes from the same disease syndromes is pointed out and discussed. Thirty-one isolates belonged to E. coli O group 2a, nineteen to O group 78, fourteen to O group 109, six to O group 88, five to O group 103, four to O groups lab and 13, and three to each of O groups 15, 17, 111ac, and 119. Fewer isolates of ten other E. coli O groups were also identified. Fifteen of the cultures did not react with any of the standard E. coli antisera. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
