Heterozygosity at enzyme loci and morphological variation

Abstract
The results of an analysis of biochemical and morphological variation in the rufous-collared sparrow, Zonotrichia capensis are presented. No differences were found in levels of variation either between the homozygote and heterozygote classes or between classes of individuals heterozygous at different numbers of loci. A difference between homoiotherms and poikilotherms in this phenomenon is suggested.Keywords
