Abstract
The anti-bacterial activity of 5 penicillinase-resistant penicillins and 2 cephalosporins are compared. One of the cephalosporins is more active against staphylococci than any of the other antibiotics tested in the presence of serum, but there is no significant difference between the other compounds. The 2 cephalosporins are more active than ampicillin against many strains of coliform bacilli. Keywords
