Brief Communication: Detection of Complement-Dependent Lytic Antibodies in Sera From Feline Leukemia Virus-Infected Cats by the Chromium-51 Release Assay 2

Abstract
Sera from feline leukemia virus-infected cats lysed FL74 cells in the presence of an appropriate complement source; lysis was detected with the use of the 51Cr release method. Serum complement from both rabbits and guinea pigs mediated lysis. Partial correlation of results was obtained from preliminary comparisons of lysis and immunofluorescence tests with the use of FL74 cells as targets.
