Characteristics ofBr87, a Delayed Neutron Activity

Abstract
The energies of the beta-rays of Br87 were determined to be 2.6 and 8.0 Mev by aluminum absorption measurements. Gamma-radiation was observed, and from the absorption curve of the secondary Compton electrons, the maximum energy of the gamma-radiation was found to be 5.4 Mev. Most of the gamma-rays have energies in the range 2 to 4 Mev. Coincidences were observed between the weaker beta-ray and the gamma-rays. Gamma-gamma coincidences were also noted.
