Abstract
The blocked capillary technique has been used to check previous piston displacement values for the helium melting pressure curve in the range from 1.5° to 4°K. In the course of these experiments, details of which are given, it was shown that melting pressure as given by the capillary blocking method are completely reliable, and can be very accurate. Variations of the capillary size or pressure difference across the capillary had no evident effect.Keywords
